Wood County Parks to Close for the Season

The Wood County Parks and Forestry Department has announced the following closing dates for area parks:
Wood County and North Wood County Park campgrounds will close for the season on October
31st.
Dexter County Park campground will remain open until December 2, 2024. The 2nd and 3rd loops will remain open during this time and will be available for camping by reservation only.
Dump stations are still available, but all water filling stations have been shut down for the season. Dexter has a heated shower building that will remain open until closing.

The ATV Intensive Use Area and Nepco Lake County Park shelter buildings are both available to rent throughout the year.

Wood County thanks everyone who came out and enjoyed camping and other various recreational activities in our parks this season and we hope to see you again next year. As a reminder, camping and shelter reservations can be made one year in advance. So, make those reservations today!

Watch for notices pertaining to the opening of our multi- use groomed trails, snowmobile trails, and the Powers Bluff Winter Sports Recreation Area.
