Lancaster opened the Southwest Wisconsin Conference with a 3-0 win at Richland Center Friday night. The Arrows scored 2 runs in the opening inning on a 2 out hit by Tyler Timmerman. The score did not chance until the visitors added an insurance run in the 7th.

The Hornets Senior Jacob McDonnell started pitching and left on the pitch count in the 5h inning. He struck out 6 and walked 2 while giving up just 2 hits. Freshman Finn Lemke came on in relief and struck out 4 batters in a row during his 2 plus innings of work. He gave up one hit. Brady Dosch, Avery McGlynn, and Ethan Hady all had hits for Richland Center.Shea Luckey doubled and scored for Lancaster, and Tyler Timmerman was 1 for 4 with 2 rbi. Nolan Wolf pitched all 7 innings and got the win striking out 6, walking 3, and giving up 3 hits.

For the Arrows, they had 3 runs, on 3 hits, they committed one error and left 7 runners stranded. Richland Center was shut out on 3 hits, they made 4 errors and left 5 on base.Following the 3-0 win, Lancaster is now 3-1 overall and 1-0 in the conference. They will play Fennimore on Tuesday.

Richland Center is now 2-4 and 0-1 in the league. They will make a trip to Cazenovia to face Weston on Tuesday night.
