Pride AMPlified in Green Bay kicks off Pride Month at Leicht Park
GREEN BAY, Wis (WGBW) – June is Pride Month to celebrate and bring visibility to the LGBTQ+ community. Many cities across Wisconsin are planning their celebrations, including Green Bay.
In Green Bay, Pride Month kicks off Sunday, June 1, 2025, with a flag-raising ceremony and resource fair. The festivities are at Leicht Park as part of the Levitt AMP Green Bay Music Series. They call it Pride AMPlified.
According to a press release, the community-wide celebration will create a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere in the heart of the city.
The Resource Fair will run from 3 to 4 p.m. and showcase local organizations providing support, services, and resources to the LGBTQ+ community and allies.
The Pride Flag-Raising Ceremony is at 3:30 p.m. at the Leicht Memorial Park flagpole near the stage. It symbolizes Green Bay’s ongoing commitment to diversity, inclusion, and acceptance.
“The Pride Month Kickoff is an opportunity for our entire community to come together in support of equality and belonging,” said Michael Bergman, Communications Director for the City of Green Bay. “We invite everyone to join us for this meaningful celebration, connect with local organizations, and enjoy the music and festivities.”
Attendees of the Resource Fair and flag-raising ceremony are encouraged to stay and enjoy the Levitt AMP Green Bay Music Series featuring live performancesfrom Traveling Suitcase and Maddie Batzil (of LINE) and family-friendly activities.
