Rep. Van Orden voices support for tariffs during visit with farmers

LANCASTER, Wis (CIVIC MEDIA) – U.S. Representative Derrick Van Orden made an appearance at a cheese plant last Thursday, where he voiced his support for the Trump Administration’s tariffs.

In his visit to Lancaster’s Foremost Farms, he acknowledged Wisconsin farmers’ concerns regarding the tariffs but affirmed his support of them, pointing to how other countries impose dairy tariffs.

Van Orden’s comments come a week after the House passed President Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill”, a package that would significantly impact the dairy industry. The bill is now awaiting consideration from the Senate.
