MADISON, Wis. (WMDX) – Melissa Agard and Dana Pellebon advance to the November election for Dane County Executive.
Four people were running in the primary to replace Joe Parisi. Melissa Agard gave up her State Senate seat representing the 16th district to run this race. Dana Pellebon is the Executive Director of the Rape Crisis Center. Wes Sparkman is Dane County’s Director of Equity and Inclusion. Regina Vidaver is a Madison alder.
Agard seemed like the horse to beat. She had the most name recognition among the four candidates.
Once all the votes were counted, Agard and Pellebon were the top two winners. Agard had an overwhelming majority of the vote.
The fall election is November 5.
