Family Center to Hold 2024 Domestic Violence Vigil

Wisconsin Rapids Family Center is holding a vigil to honor victims
who lost their life due to domestic violence in 2023. This year’s event is being held at the Wisconsin Rapids Community Theatre on October 24 at 6:00 pm.

“One in four people have been a victim of domestic violence. This staggering statistic demonstrates that everyone knows someone who has been affected by domestic violence. This is why Wisconsin Rapids Family Center’s safe shelter and numerous outreach services are vital to
our community, because we all know someone who has been affected. Share with someone today about the services available at Wisconsin Rapids Family Center, it could save their life”. Says Executive Director, Tricia Fancher. “Please join us on October 24 th to honor these victims and have the opportunity to meet staff and learn about services offered right here in our community.
Be a part of our vision to have a community that acts to help people live free of domestic and
sexual violence.”


This year’s theme for Domestic Violence Awareness Month is Heal, Hold and Center. In additional to honoring victims, the vigil is an opportunity for Wisconsin Rapids Family Center to honor those in the community that help to Heal victims, Hold space for survivors and Center those most vulnerable.


This year’s event is being held at Wisconsin Rapids Community Theatre on October 24 at 6:00 pm.
