MADISON, Wis. (WMDX) – If you see a doctor through UW Health, they may be using artificial intelligence to take notes.
Officials from the health system said the tool listens to conversations, and takes notes for the providers.
At the end of last year, 100 people within the health system in at least 20 specialties were using it. They’ll be rolling it out to another 300 by this summer.
The health system said this initiative allows providers to save time on clerical work, and spend more time face-to-face with patients.
Patients are always told when their doctor will use it, and patients have the power to opt out.
