
The Richland Center girls basketball team picked up a win 43-30 over Wisconsin Heights on Tuesday night. The Hornets led 26-20 at halftime and continued to hold the lead in the 2nd half with good defense and good free throw shooting.
Ellavy Weiss led the scoring for Richland Center with 12 points, Ella Clements added 9, Kylie Burns had 8 (including two three pointers), Taylor Wertz totaled 5, Addie Board scored 4 and Jori Schultz had 3 points. The team shot 12 for 15 from the line.
It was Senior night at RCHS on Tuesday. Prior to the Varsity game, Seniors with the program were honored including Taylor Wertz, Jordyn Pendelton, Jori Schultz, Tatum Reyzek, and Sylvia Schmidt.The Vangards were led in scoring by R.J. Kalscheuer with 14 points.They shot 2 for 9 from the line.Wisconsin Heights won the JV game 41-28 over the Hornets.With the 43-30 Varsity win, Richland Center is now 4-19 for the season.
They will prepare for a final regular season game at Prairie du Chien on Thursday night and the first game of the WIAA tournament next Tuesday at Westfield.
The Vangards are now 3-20 and will finish the regular schedule with a home game Thursday against Marshall. They will open the tournament at Poynette next week.
