The episode kicks off with John and Gordy bantering about weather and mic stands before diving into the terrible political landscape. They discuss Trump’s parade extravagance, costing $45 million, with cuts to veterans’ programs. They slam the closure of the Job Corps program, which has supported low-income youth since 1964, deeming it ‘financially unsustainable’ while tax cuts soar. John and Gordy critique Trump’s reconciliation bill as a path to authoritarianism, attacking education and healthcare to weaken democracy. It’s all hard news this morning, so sit back and listen!
