A community cycling event supporting the LGBTQ+ cycling community will be held in Madison, with an emphasis on visibility and inclusivity.
Participants are invited to arrive at McPike Park at 10 a.m. for bike decorating before the group ride departs at 11 a.m. The slow-roll route will pass through downtown Madison before returning to McPike Park, where post-ride festivities will include ice cream, music and games.
The event was organized in partnership with several local organizations, including Wisconsin Bike Fed, Madison Bikes, Machinery Row, Beth Skogen Photography and Active Youth Wisconsin.
All bicycle types are welcome, including cruisers, commuters, cargo bikes, road bikes, mountain bikes and e-bikes. Helmets are required; lights and a flat repair kit are recommended. Participants should also bring adequate hydration. Event T-shirts will be available for pickup at the Trek Tent on the day of the ride.
Registration is suggested. More information and registration are available through Eventbrite.
